Winter Is Just Around The Corner
Prepping your home for winter may not be a do or die issue here in Central Oklahoma; however, we do get that cold blast or two that this could end up saving you a bit of heartache.
1. Be sure you have caulking around all your exterior windows. This will help to hold in heat and help keep moisture outside.
2. Clean out the gutters and chimney. The gutters are going to begin to fill with leaves as fall arrives and you don't want to be surprised the first time you light your fireplace only to find there is a bird nest or other kind of critter living inside.
3. Be sure your water hoses are detached from the spout and be sure your sprinkler system is winterized, if you have one.
4. It is also time to get your furnace checked. Have a professional do your annual maintenance and ensure your furnace is clean and ready to go.
We hope your stay safe and warm this winter.
